Our Story Starts with a Punch Bowl

In 1954, Ron Berrett's grandparents started Startups Catering in Pasadena, California. One of Ron's earliest memories is from when he was five: mixing fruit punch with his grandfather, then putting on a little tuxedo and bow tie to refill the punch bowl at the parties his grandparents catered.

That love of a good party stuck. Ron and Maggie Berrett spent years as caterers themselves. In 2011 they settled on a 20-acre estate in West Linn, Oregon, planted their first grapes in 2014, and grew it into Festive Hill Winery, a vineyard and event venue that hosts weddings, private parties, corporate gatherings, and dinner shows with local musicians.

Our family of companies also includes LinenTablecloth.com, an online linen and event-supply retailer founded in 2005. Many weddings and events later, it carries everything from tablecloths and table runners to chair covers, backdrops, and lanterns.

PartyHowz brings all of that together. After decades of catering, linens, and hosting events, we know what makes a party work. So we built a party rental company to make it easier to plan and to take care of the hard parts for Portland.

What We Rent

Tables and chairs: folding, round, square, and cocktail tables, plus folding, resin, Chiavari, farmhouse chairs and more

Delivery and Pickup We Serve

Conveniently located in Sherwood (a stone's-throw from the Walmart Supercenter), party rental items can be ordered online and then picked up the same day! If you need delivery, that can also be booked through our website. Delivery/Pickup services start at $75 and increase depending on the distance from our Sherwood warehouse. For big orders, we're happy to plan everything old-school over the phone if need be. Special arrangements can be made for rentals outside the Portland area.
